Malebron sighed, it had been a long night...
the dancing had gone on till 3 in the morning...
and he still didnt know why they had been dancing...

Malebron sighed, stretched and got up...
where were his clothes???
he sat down again, looking around his room for some clothes, he pulled on what he could see, and headed down to the bar for some breakfast

Tarquin barely glanced up from his food as the woman entered the Inn, having immediately assessed her out of the corner of his eye in an instant - one of the skills afforded to his profession.

"All and well, madam." He answered her, finishing a mouthful, "Though I gather there was trouble last night."

He speared a sausage and began to cut up his next mouthful.

Where is that damn elf?

OOC - I don't refer to any existing character with that thought, by the way.

Rydrel groaned as he inched down the stairs towards the bar. "I really have to get into shape!" he muttered to himself. Hobbling through the bar doors he saw two characters who arrested his attention. He was sure he knew them from somewhere, but the unaccustomed use of magic the night before had left him mentally drained.
"Two fried eggs and a piece of black pudding" he said to the barmaid who materialised at his elbow.

ooc: sure thing. The inn is only a convenient meeting place. However, since nobody else has gone outside the inn with you, it might be more dramatic to leave out what happens while you're outside, and let us work it out on our return!

still ooc: Harriet, what do we know about your character? I've scanned back, and can't find a physical description of him(?).

yet more ooc: Hmm. This seems to be a purely OOC post! Just something to point out - if nothing's happening in the conversation you're in, or you need to wait for someone to respond to you before you do something else, don't be afraid to do just that. RPGs are better when they happen slowly and organically, and often more than one story in a thread can get confusing.

"Ha, ye may call it that indeed, m'laddie, by the Elds, yes. Most peculiar situation, I'll admit t'ye. Not seen one a them before. Still! What be life wi'out adventure, eh? A night where I aint seen battle be one where I do not sleep soundly!"
And with a raucous laugh Ilayne dug into her breakfast, whilst surveying the rest of the room. A dwarf passed by her, and out the door before she had a chance to say anything to him, but an elf had appeared to have just ordered some breakfast by the bar.

"Laddie! Come join us, will ye? I take it ye're one o'they who helped me outta my 'situation' last night? If so, I thank thee. Seems I may have a dept to repay to some o'ye. Can't have a blood debt hangin' over me head now, can I?"
This last was said in confidence to the man already occupying Ilayne's table. Of course, Ilayne being Ilayne, confidence meant it was audible to everyone in the room.

OOC: I'm an elf, dabbling in magic. I'm somewhat inexperienced, as we have already seen! I prefer to observe proceedings rather than getting too involved, therefore I may seem a little reticent

Edg opened his eyes blearily to dappled morning sunshine, and the slam of the inn door as someone set off - for what appeared to be a morning jog. He vaguely remembered saying something like
"Frankly, I PREFER to sleep outside...", except of course, more drunkenly.
Oh gods, what else did I do?
At least theres not much of a hangover...

He went inside to look for some food.

OOC - Emzy, do I detect a little Robert Jordan influence?

Crescentius entered the room he'd booked for the night and picked up his bag. From it, he removed a small case and opened it, revealing a surprisingly large number of tiny bottles, arranged in neat rows, each one containing all sorts of medicinal items: pills; tinctures; leaves; seeds; bark, and so on. There were even a few that seemed to exude some kind iridescent glow, which was quite dazzling if you looked directly at them. It was one of these bottles that Crescentius now removed, carefully unscrewing the cap. He then found a piece of old, dried up moss in a compartment of the case and set it beside the bottle. Next, out came his flask, which still had a tiny bit of water in it. Into this went a few drops from the medicine bottle. He proceeded then to tip the contents of the bottle into the moss, so that it was soaked in. He took off his bandage and placed the moss over his "wound", then replaced the bandage once again.

Replacing all of his bits and pieces in their respective compartments and bags, he walked steadily out of the door and downstairs, to greet whomever he could remember having met on that rather crazy night.

Malebron stood under the sign, and stretched. Then he started jogging, yes, jogging. He glared fiercely at anyone who looked at him, people didnt normally treat dwarfs prone to exercise very kindly of a morning.

He had hardly rounded the corner from the inn than it started to rain, torrentially. His favourite weather, exercise was best in the rain, because you knew most people wouldnt be doing it.

In the unflattering morning light, Crescentius saw a motley crew of creatures, some hunched over steaming bowls from which they took slow spoonfuls. Others sat staring, bleary-eyed, into the middle-distance.

Hoping to lighten up the mood if he could, he addressed no-one in particular, "Well you're a cheery bunch! Is there still breakfast going?"
